she is the reason i started watching asian movies, she's the reason why i met teresa teng, she's the reason why i dig deep into cocteau twins' discography, she is so important to me and i can't really express in words what she makes me feel with her music, fashion icon, amazing actress and an one of a kind singer, i hope one day i can collect some of her albums.
after i started listening to her music i realized i had a big prejudice with different artists, her main audience is pretty strict, old chinese and japanese people, but i enjoyed her music and voice so much i realized i don't really have to put myself in any box, i can just enjoy listening to whatever makes me happy, and her music makes me really happy, i feel every single emotion she puts in her music just by hearing her voice, her japanese career is also amazing, my favorite albums and musics are usually japanese releases, she has such an extensive career and i don't know if a certain number is possible to say, so many albums and compilations, but my goal is to listen to as much as i can.
january of last year i began to watch wong kar wai's filmography, i confess that in happy together i didn't really noticed leslie's role, of course, it was great, but the whole story captivated me more, after a few weeks i discovered an incredible artist, after i searched a bit about him i discovered it was actually an actor from happy together! after i looked up about his history, his lgbt representation and impact on hong kong's music scene i was amazed, such nice songs with covers from janet jackson and paula abdul's songs and a big acting career, that's it, my obsession for the first quarter of 2019 was made
